April 27-29 Boracay Package (short version of site owner's story)
You can read the full blow by blow account of my entire ordeal in the "About the Site Owner" page. It includes actual email correspondences with Trip Toe and even a snapshot of their text message. But in this condensed version, I'll just give you a timeline of events:
December 9, 2011 - Purchased three vouchers of their Boracay Php6,800 package (via CleverBuy c/o TripToe Travel)
January 5, 2012 - Sent letter of complaint to Trip Toe, asking for our airplane and hotel confirmation
January 26, 2012 - Received conflicting e-tickets (which I later found out were not valid due to nonpayment)
February 2012 - Weekly email follow up of our HOTEL CONFIRMATION.
March 19, 2012 - Emailed other Trip Toe customers to ask if they were also having difficulty with them
March 20, 2012 - Received several emails from TripToe customers saying that they're experiencing the same thing.
March 20, 2012 - Received valid airplane e-ticket (which I personally checked with the airlines)
Weekly email follow up of our HOTEL CONFIRMATION.
April 14, 2012 - Emailed other Trip Toe customers for their authorization to post their story in this webisite

April 23, 2012 - STILL NO HOTEL. Trip Toe promised to give me confirmation tomorrow.

April 26, 2012 - Trip Toe was only able to get us ONE room at Villa Simprosa, Station 2. Considering we're a group of SIX and I purchased THREE vouchers, we're supposed to have THREE rooms but after months and months of following up, they were only able to book ONE room. I then decided NOT to avail the HOTEL service from them. What was I to do? Trust that they can get me another room in less than four hours? OF COURSE NOT! Thankfully, I was able to book rooms at Zoe Mei Hotel via booking.com. Now, if I was able to book rooms for us in less than one hour, how come they couldn't book us rooms given that they've had MONTHS to prepare? What did they do to our money?
Verdict: Only 50% of our package pushed through. We were able to get our airplane e-tickets but we had to wait till the DAY BEFORE OUR DEPARTUE DATE to find out that they COULD NOT book us THREE rooms.

Still no refund...
Nabiktima din po kami ng Trip Toe. 54,850 yung total na nakuha sa amin. Last December namin "binili" yung promo. Nakita lang namin sa Cleverbuy yung deal nila na Palawan trip for only 6,900 for 2 pax. Ang mura kaya di na kami nagdalawang isip bumili. Pero nagkaproblema kami kasi meron kami kasama na walang kapartner. So ang ginawa na lang namin is dumirekta na lang kami sa Trip Toe para sa kanila na lang makipag transact. Sumagot naman agad sila at pwede daw na ibook na lang kami as 1 group, 3,450 each. 13 kami initially so 44,850 yon.
Yung 3 sa amin, hindi na makakasama kaya ang ginawa nila is tinanong sa Trip Toe kng pwede ba ipatransfer ung trip sa ibang name at iparesched to May18-20 yung trip. Umoo naman agad sila at humingi ng additional fee na 1500 "rebooking fee" at 750 "trasfer fee". so 2250 each. 6,750 yung total na nadeposit ulit sa kanila. Nung una, paiba iba sila ng charges na sinasabi. Nung una 1000 lang daw each. Bigla naging 1500. Bigla additional 750 na. Paiba iba, medyo napapaisip nga din ako non bakit ganon parang di sila sure ano ba talaga charge nila pag may magpapatransfer.
March 29-April1 ung travel date na kinuha namin sa kanila. May dumating naman na temporary etix around Feb kaya lang di kumpleto at puro "MR." ang gender ng lahat. Pati mga babae. so nag complain kami sa kanila at nagpromise sila na papalitan na lang. From December to Feb, smooth naman ang pakikipag usap with them. Mabilis sila magreply at sumasagot agad sa calls and text pati email. Nung March na, nung malapit na ang trip, nagsimula na sila mawala na parang bula. Minsan na lang magreply sa text at email. Yung 3 contact numbers nila di matawagan laging naka Off.
A week or two before ng travel date, kinontak nila kami for additonal charge nun. "Underground River Permit" daw which is 325 each. so x10 kaya nagdeposit na naman ng 3,250 sa account ni Triptoe Manager Asnielyn R. Madale. Then nung March 29, naka VL na yung mga aalis pero walang natuloy. Puro lang sila promise at commit ng oras at date. Paborito nilang oras ang 2pm at 3pm. Paulit ulit.
Sabi namin irerefund na lang namin yung lahat ng trip for 13pax. Pati ung 3 pax na sa May18-20 pa yung trip kasi di na natuloy ung iba eh. Hinihingi namin sa kanila ung total 54,850 na nadeposit namin sa kanila. Umoo naman sila hiningi lang ung deposit slips sa amin. More than a month na namin sila hinahabol thru text and email. Same scenario, puro sila pangako na idedeposit sa ganitong araw, sa ganitong time. Pero wala. Walang dumating na pera sa BPI account namin. Humingi pa nga sila ng RCBC account. Akala namin totoo na kasi sila ung nag initiate na humingi ng account para daw mas mabiis. pero WALA.

April 19-21, 2012 Trip
Tomorow sana ung TRIP nmin to BOHOL (April19-21) pero unfortunately as of now wala pa akong natatanggap na tawag from Leah. the worst is ilang beses na akong tumatawag sa kanila starting 2 weeks ago pero di man lang sinasagot mga tawag ko.. sa stat ko cguro umaabot at mababa na ung 50 calls per day ginawa ko last week and this monday. her phone keep on ringing and she desnt even bother to answer. sa dami ng phone calls na nag-try ako mag communicate sa kanya di nya talaga nirerecieve. ilang times din nmn na busy ung number nya which means ginagamit nya ung phone but ayaw nya lang talaga makipag-usap sa akin considering na ilang days nlng TRIP na namin at sunod sunod ung phone call ko. sa tingin ko sa sunod sunod na dial ko biglang may times na busy so khit busy dial pa rin ako to check kung makapasok ako to her. ilang beses na ganun which means na hinihintay na matapos ung ring ng tawag ko para magamit phone nya and worst yesterday afternoon the phone is already out so di nnmin xa macontact.Last email nya sa akin is Apr4 na sinend nya sa akin ung itinerary pero anu naman gagawin ko sa itinerary? panu mangyayari ay magagwa ung itinerary na sinend nya e ni walang Air ticket and finality hotel accomodation. and worst nung dineresta ko xa na kung meron ba kming hihintayin na TRIP pero di na sinagot ng maayos na tipong nilayo nya ung usapan at nag promise ulit sya.
Ive contacted CLEVERBUY and they told me that TRIP TOE will not accommodate and pursue their customers' APRIL TRIPS. I was a disaster! they gave me an 2 options - that is Postpone our trip to MAY or JUNE or Just call for a REFUND. pero sa pa-mamanage ngayon ni TRIP TOE sa tingin ko wala nang assurance na magagawang smooth ung transaction sa knila even if i postpone ko ung trip ko. uulit ulit nila un so nag request na ako ng irefund nlng ung nagastos ko at sana maaaproved din ung additional charges na hinihingi ko kasi sa sobrang laki nung damage nya na nagawa sa akin.. (telephone expences sa pagtawagtawag sa knya na pag nakakusap mo pur promises lang ang gagawin so nagtatagal usapan, nasayang ung leave ko na na file ko na at naapprove since di na matutuloy masasayang lang un sa wala, and most especially emotional stress).
Sabi ko nga previous message ko khit CLEVERBUY na ang tumatawag (this is as per CLEVERBUY Support rep c/o Aireen) sa TRIP TOE di rin tinatangap ni TRAVEL AGENCY. although sumasagot nmn daw sa mga email ng CLVERBUY. Tsaka Three Times na rin nag set ng meeting ang Cleverbuy with the Travel Agency pero three times din cla HINDI sinipot ni TRIP TOE.

Letter of Complaint
I am filing a complaint against TRIP TOE TRAVEL (Ms. Leah Ramos) for the following reasons.
1. Giving airline tickets that is null/void.
2. They don't regularly update us regarding our trip.
3. They set date and time for the release of our tickets and yet they failed so many times without informing us.
4. Late release of tickets with wrong/incomplete names
5. Return ticket released on the same day of our travel date
6. Confirmed our travel date months before, yet we have to adjust for their incompetence.
7. We we're asked to pay for the extension of our stay which in the first place is not our fault.
8. Flight given to us was not the same as agreed upon.
9. False advertisement (t-shirt and banana boat ride)
10. Promises that was not delivered
* round trip transfers but up to the port only without informing us
* banana boat ride that we ourselves need to look for their affiliates in Boracay
* Breakfast good for 14 persons
* a phone call from her boss/supervisor/owner of the agency since we insisted that we need to talk to the owner (she won't give her number and she gave different names) I am not sure if it is Ms. Ameilyn Madala Limbona as what is indicated on the DTI Registration attached to this email.
11. STRESS - up until our check-out time balance was not yet settled with the resort

Refunded Trip still in process...
I sent request for refund sa cleverbuy but not sure yet if its approved but i will no longer trust trip toe kasi tuloy tuloy yong holiday namin ng may and first stop yong sa kanila so kung masira yon, lahat ng sched namin masira. Janaury pa kasi ako nag fofollow up sabi sa first email they will send it by that month, lagi nagcocommit ng day pero hindi naman nagaadvice nakakawalang gana lang. How could you trust them anymore if ganun yong pinapakita nila buti nga lng isang voucher lng nakuha ko pero yong hussle na binigay hindi na worth it eh. Magastos na rin sa call wala rin guarantee kung kelan talaga nila mabigay. We are running out of time na rin lahat ng fare mahal na. Sana nakapag avail pa kmi ng fare discount if only hindi kami ng tiwala.
Kung hindi ko pa tinawagan yong airline company hindi ko pa malalaman na cancel pala yong trip, so what if hindi ako nagtanong....pamamahiya kmi sa airport kasi wala sched trip. When i asked them but ncancel kasi daw mali yong name ng kasama ko but why they didnt informed us pero sabi ng airline company hindi nabayaran. Sabi ng cleverbuy wala naman daw naging prob sa una but of course they will protect the agency kasi merchant nila.
honestly im so tired sending them follow kasi ganun lang din sasabihin nila will send them monday...or friday consistent sila dun. I felt bad lng din kasi first time ko mag avail sa clever buy and first time ko din magpa arrange ng travel sa agency tapus ito pa ngyari. I would rather do it on my own makukuha ko pa ang sagot with in a day.
kaya lesson to sa akin..hehehehe...i will never trsut vouchers/deals again kasi malaking hassle.

"Katakot-takot na stress"
I also bought their travel deal to Puerto Princesa last December sa Cleverbuy din. We already had our tour last March 8-10, 2012 lang. I just want to share also my experience dahil katakot-takot na stress ang inabot ko kakaantay ng tickets namin. We are 10 na mgta-travel kasi kaya siguro nahirapan sila (ewan lang). But believe it or not, nareceive namin ang 8 out of 10 tickets 2 days yata before our travel date at yung last 2 tickets nareceive namin March 7, 8am (24hours before the flight). I just didn't expect them to send the tickets that long kasi they were supposed to give me the flight details and itinerary by january 25 yata yun. But then, they always ask for extension. Kapag nagfa-follow-up ako, siguro just to shut me up since ang kulit ko (because i email, text and call them most of the time), they always say "mamaya, after lunch, sa monday, sa friday, sa february --,etc". Hanggang sa a few days before the our travel date, saka ko lang nareceive ung tickets, incomplete pa. Another thing, when we were there at Puerto Princesa, nadelay kasi flight namin (our fault, not theirs), we found out na may mga nagagalit nang ibang tourist kasi delayed ang city tour (our first itinerary) dahil sa amin. Although sabi naman ng driver wala silang karapatang magalit dahil 10 kami at 4 lang sila, and ang sabi is kami talaga ang priority, sinama lang sila sa amin dahil 4 lang sila but i felt bad for them kasi nasira ung unang araw nila because of us. And if i'm not mistaken, corazon inn ata ang sinabi sa kanila na tutuluyan nila but they ended up on the same "hotel" as ours. Not so sure about it, narinig ko lang while we were on tour. PLUS, on our first night, nagtxt sya na may pupunta sa pinagtutuluyan namin para singilin sa mga fees (island hopping, etc) at ung tauhan daw nila mag iinform kung anong gagawin kinabukasan pati what time. And to our surprise, nung nagtanong ako at yung representative nung 4 about what to do the ff day and what time kami susunduin, WALA SYANG ALAM. As in WALA. Kinailangan pa niyang tawagan ung office nila to ask about what we're asking and we ended up talking to her on the phone instead of the person that they sent. I also worry about their credibility and if legal silang nag ooperate especially kapag tinatawagan ko sila sa lahat ng numbers nila na alam ko at puro "cannot be reached". Ang laging reason was, nasa tour yung staff nila at baka walang signal. That's why mas nag e-email ako, to be sure. But it made me wonder how many staff does their agency have at bakit kelangan dalhin ang phone na sana pang-office kapag nagtu-tour? Tsaka minsan sinasabi nila na si staff na on tour yung makakasagot sa tanong ko kung kelan makukuha yung tickets namin. I'm not sure how're they doing the bookings at wala bang natitirang reliable na staff sa office nila to answer a simple question like mine. they are also saying na mabagal daw yung connection at down ung system nila that's why wala pa yung tickets ko. Hindi kasi ako matanong na tao kaya halos walang sagot sa mga tanong ko. Natatakot din kasi ako na baka mabulilyaso pa lalo ung trip namin eh excited pa naman yung 9 na kasama ko. Mahirap pa rin kasi magtiwala dahil andun sila sa Mindanao naka-base at taga-Manila ako. Where are you from pala? Did they tell you they have a partner agency in Marikina? Once ko lang tinawagan yung office na ka-tie up nila dahil parang super fresh pa ng kanilang usapan bilang magka tie-up kasi nung tumawag ako last January, parang wala din masagot ng maayos sa akin yung travel agency sa Marikina. But you can try to contact them again, baka wala lang sila sa tamang huwisyo at the time. I can send you the contact number of Ms. Mitch na ka-tie up nila sa Marikina if you don't have it. I also have a contact number of certain Mr. Rainy (i don't know if that's the spelling :D) from cleverbuy. Siya kasi nakipag meet sa Trip Toe dati and sya yata nag aayos nung mga travel agency na nagpopost ng travel deals sa cleverbuy. I called him nung talagang napikon na ako sa Trip Toe dahil hindi ko sila macontact at more or less isang linggo nalang flight na namin eh ni itinerary wala pa akong natatanggap. Aside from the issue ko sa ticket, at yung tauhan nila na walang alam, yung stay naman namin dun was okay. :) But I think I won't ask for their service again..NEVER! Ni yung website nga nila parang hindi katiwa-tiwala eh..hehehe na-open ko lang a day before our flight. Sabi kasi dati na-hack daw kaya di ko maopen.

"Nakaka-trauma"
Yes they are legit and i don't know if they forwarded a copy of their DTI permit sa iyo kasi i demanded it from them nung hindi ako tinatantanan ng nanay ko na maghalughog ng background ng Trip Toe (although at that time I already purchased the vouchers). Before ako nagpurchase sa cleverbuy, I also looked sa DTI online if they are registered, and yes meron naman. I even called DTI and thank God they all have the same permit numbers. Nung sobrang delay ng delay yung release nila ng tickets ko, I called Mr. Rainy (?) from celverbuy and I'm asking for a refund already kasi hindi biro yung stress na naexperience ko dahil 9 na tao yung umaasang matutuloy kami at 9 na tao ang nagbigay din naman ng trust sa akin na okay yung travel deal na sinuggest ko. But they reassured me too that all of their vendors are indeed legit and even said I can get refund just in case fraud, pero syempre may takot pa rin ako. Just for documentations sake, I never deleted a single txt message from trip toe kahit simpleng "opo mam" hanggat hindi natatapos ang trip namin. Mahirap na kasi baka pag nagkalokohan naisip ko lang baka may use un sa court...just in case lang naman. Tsaka kasi napansin ko paiba-iba sila ng sinasabi minsan. Naisip ko rin gawin 'tong ginawa mo noon pero hindi ko alam pano sisimulan ng hindi naman masyadong alarming ang dating. I thank you for doing this, at least alam kong hindi lang pala sa akin nagkaroon ng ganung delay. Buti talaga at natuloy naman. Trip Toe Travel and Tours, based on the address na nilagay nila sa cleverbuy at the time of the Puerto Princesa promo that we availed, is located somewhere in Davao. But they said they relocated somewhere in Cagayan de Oro which i tried to ask a couple of times but they never answered. I'll forward the DTI permits that they gave plus the contact number of Ms. Mitch (owner of the travel agency na ka-tie up daw ng Trip Toe). Tip lang siguro for all of us, next time we should be very careful before buying. And by the way, i promised my friends that i will NEVER organize our summer outing ever again. Nakakatrauma kasi.

"Everything will be okay once you get past TripToe"
My friends and I just got back from our Bohol Trip that we availed of from Cleverbuy and it was a blast! Everything will be okay once you get past TripToe. We had Antonette Argo assist us with our trip and it was also a NIGHTMARE. We didn't get our etickets until a week before our trip, and our hotel and tour details until 4 days before we left.We had to coordinate with her everyday through emailS, textS, and callS. We had to be stressed before we got everything that we wanted. We tried to keep our cool but then we had to go through Cleverbuy so they could do something about it. Just be patient. Don't worry, it's not a scam. Once you're in Bohol, just enjoy. The people are nice. The place is amazing (except for the airport, warning =p ) The hotel, well, maybe it depends on where you will stay. Anyways, just enjoy! God speed! Good Luck!

Hi guys, everything about the trip is legit. My trip was last March 2-4 2012. The problem here is their service is just so slow. And they will never inform you about any changes about your trip or anything.

I agree with Ms. Cheska because a friend of mine also had their trip some time in February and according to her, everything went well. It's just that they don't have the initiative to keep their clients updated. So you really have to make a follow up at your end.
